A new report has revealed an update on Rey Fenix’s AEW contract ahead of his fellow Lucha Brother Penta El Zero Miedo’s departure.
As previously reported, The Lucha Brothers have been at the center of conversation since they became the latest AEW stars who were expected to make the jump to WWE.
However, AEW President Tony Khan reportedly extended the former AEW World Tag Team Champions’ contracts due to injury time, which you can read about here.
Fightful Select recently reported Penta El Zero Miedo’s contract with All Elite Wrestling is up next week.
However, per a new Fightful Select post (subscription required), Rey Fenix’s contract has been extended well into 2025 due to the injury time added to it, so he won’t be leaving with Penta.
The report also notes that Fightful has not heard any discussions about creative plans for Fenix’s return to AEW television.
At one point, Rey Fenix, Penta El Zero Miedo and PAC of The Death Triangle were slated to win the AEW World Trios Championship at All In London.
WrestleTalk will provide any further updates on Rey Fenix’s AEW contract when they become available.
