Rey Fenix has again commented on his current AEW contract situation as he remains with the company despite Penta El Zero Miedo’s departure.
UPDATE: Fenix later tweeted: “No one stays in a place where they received inhumane treatment.”
While Fenix’s brother Penta has officially been removed from the AEW roster after his contract expired at the beginning of the month, it was noted that the same would not be said for Fenix.
Fenix’s contract has seen more time added due to injury, thereby keeping him under contract with AEW but without plans to be used.
Responding to a tweet criticizing AEW for the decision to keep Fenix but not use him, Fenix replied:
I will have my chance to speak the truth.
Due to the injury time added to Fenix’s deal, Fenix will reportedly have to wait until well into 2025 until he can join his brother outside of AEW.
Fenix previously commented on the contract news, noting a desire to wait to discuss with an emphasis on professionalism.
Rey Fenix and Penta el Zero Miedo were reportedly set to sign with WWE upon their contracts ending with AEW.
