WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio has discussed plans for his eventual retirement from the ring ahead of his 50th birthday.
Rey is set to turn 50 years old this December, and is still competing on WWE television at a high level, showing no signs of slowing down.
With Rey closer to the end of his career than the beginning, he has discussed plans he has on his eventual retirement from the ring.
Speaking to Busted Open Radio at Fanatics Fest NYC, Rey Mysterio said that planning a good farewell to his career is the only thing left in his career.
He said:
“I think what’s left is to be able to plan a nice sunset and be able to thank everyone that has followed and supported me throughout the years, and give them, when the time is right, a good farewell.
“Not something that’ll happen one time and then I come back and do it again. Maybe a farewell tour. Something that can mean something to me and everyone that will be there. Whether it’s every city, a country, ‘this is the last time we’ll be together,'”
