Rey Mysterio Injury Update

According to a report on PWInsider, injured WWE Raw star Rey Mysterio is expected back in the ring in early July.

WWE officials have pencilled in the July 8 Raw show in Newark, New Jersey as a potential return date for Mysterio.

Mysterio has been out since Money In The Bank last month where he suffered a separated shoulder in a bout against Samoa Joe which forced him to vacate the United States Title.

With Ricochet having captured the US Title from Samoa Joe at Stomping Grounds last night, there is a potential dream match in the offing for WWE should they choose to go down that route.

More likely the promotion will go back to the Samoa Joe feud, which was set to involve Rey’s son Dominick prior to the rivalry getting cut short with the injury.

Mysterio previously registered the trademark Prince Mysterio for Dominick, with a report emerging several weeks ago that Dominick would eventually wear his father’s mask when Mysterio decides to hang up his boots.
