Rey Mysterio has been one of the most legendary performers in wrestling for decades. With his win last night, he can add his name to the record books once again, becoming the first WWE star to win a Tag Team Championship with his son.
Rey and Dominik won the SmackDown Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania Backlash, defeating the Dirty Dawgs. Despite Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode trying to take Dominik out before the match, the Mysterios were able to pull through and win the titles.
Now, Rey Mysterio has posted a touching message on Twitter in response to the win. He spoke about feeling blessed with his career and thanked everyone for the love and support he has received. Here is the tweet:
Would love to thank everyone for the love & support for last night. I’ve been blessed with my career from day 1 in 1989, and now to be able to live such a memorable moment like this one creating history with my son.

Dominik Mysterio made his in-ring debut last year at SummerSlam, wrestling Seth Rollins. However, his first WWE appearances date back well before this as he was part of the famous Eddie Guerrero storyline in 2005.
Dominik is also the youngest man to win the SmackDown Tag Team Championship, having won the titles at the age of 24.
