On last night’s Raw, Rey Mysterio revealed that he suffered a separated shoulder in his United States championship win at Money In The Bank last month, and as such would have to vacate his title.

His win at Money In The Bank over Samoa Joe was somewhat tainted by the fact that Joe’s shoulder were clearly off the mat while the ref still counted the pin. Mysterio relinquished the championship to the former champion, but declared when he is fit and healthy he will be back to reclaim it.
However, Samoa Joe, the now two-time United States Champion, was not contempt and attacked Rey Mysterio before heading to the back.
WWE teased on Twitter before the show that Cesaro and Ricochet would be in the hunt for the United States championship, possibly setting up a three-way feud for Joe’s belt in the near future.
