Rey Mysterio Replaced In WWE Raw’s Universal Title Match

On WWE Raw, we saw Rey Mysterio get attacked earlier in the show by Brock Lesnar.  Lesnar also brutally attacked Dominik, Rey’s son.

Dominik was then taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries. Rey Mysterio being a good father accompanied Dominik to get medical treatment.

This left the WWE Universal Title Match in limbo.  It was then announced that Rey would be replaced.

At first, it looked like it was going to be Randy Orton.  However, that match was quickly derailed by King Corbin and Rusev.

After the commercial break, Charly Caruso was backstage trying to get a word with Rusev after joining Team Hogan.  She first asked “Where’s Lana?”

However, Rusev wasn’t interested in answering that question.  Instead, he challenged Rollins to a match for the WWE Universal Title match.

After rumors today, many were hoping CM Punk would be the man to replace vacant.  Surprisingly though, it was then confirmed just a few minutes later Rollins had accepted the match.
