Rey Mysterio Returns On WWE Raw

Rey Mysterio Returns On WWE Raw WWE

Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio has made his return to WWE TV during tonight’s November 3 episode of Raw in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

Mysterio suffered a groin injury back in April the night before WrestleMania 41, which led to him being pulled from Mania and out of action since then.

Over the past number of weeks, it’s emerged that Mysterio has been at the WWE Performance Center on the road to get cleared for a return.

He has also made a couple of appearances where he didn’t get physical at AAA shows, including reluctantly putting the AAA Mega Championship belt around the waist of his son Dominik Mysterio when he won the title from El Hijo Del Vikingo.

Tonight on Raw, Dominik made his way to the ring but was cut off by the entrance of his returning father, Rey Mysterio.

Joe Tessitore on commentary confirmed that Rey has now been cleared for in-ring action.

Rey came out to question Dominik about his nickname as ‘King of the Luchadores,’ questioning whether Dominik considered himself to be better than lucha legends like El Santo, Blue Demon and Eddie Guerrero.

When he mentioned Guerrero, Dominik replied, ‘Keep my father’s name out of your mouth.’

Dominik then said, yes, he is better than those legends, and he’s better than Rey as well, before ordering Rey to leave.

Rey agreed to leave, but told Dominik that for as long as he’s around, Dominik will never be ‘King of the Luchadores,’ and he’ll never be the greatest Mysterio.

The two then came to blows, with Rey striking Dominik with a 619.
