Rey Mysterio Reveals When He Would Like To Retire WWE

A former WWE Champion has revealed when he would like to retire.

On the July 25 edition of WWE Raw, Rey Mysterio will celebrate the 20 year anniversary of his debut in the company. However, the masked man has spent well over thirty years in the squared circle.

With the long career he has had, many fans might wonder when the 47-year old will finally hang up his boots.

In a new interview with Ariel Helwani, Mysterio revealed that the current plan is for him to wrestle in the ring for three more years.

He said:

“It’s funny because they don’t prep you up now like they do for NFL players. For wrestling, I’ve always heard from others that they just go until they can’t anymore. There’s really no start and end date. You just run through it until you can’t or until you step away to do something else. For me, now that I’m getting closer to my fifties and I see my son wrestling, I tell myself that I wanna go three more years and I don’t wanna go past fifty. But then I remind myself, what if I feel good. Can you still go another year? As of right now, my date has always been to not go over fifty.”

Rey Mysterio will team up with his son Dominik to face Finn Balor and Damian Priest of The Judgment Day on tonight’s Monday Night Raw at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
