Rey Mysterio was announced as the cover athlete for the upcoming WWE 2k22 video game, and has been making the media rounds to advertise the game.
Mysterio has done it all in his WWE career, but there is still one big WrestleMania moment he hopes to have before he hangs up his mask.
Speaking with the UK Metro, Mysterio spoke about teaming with his son, and how he hopes to have a WrestleMania moment with Dominik before it’s all said and done.
He said:
‘There is definitely a WrestleMania moment that has yet to be seen next to my son. That is something that if you would have told me a year ago, that I was going to be able to share the ring with my son, let alone become tag-team champions – the first ever in WWE – I would have said, “get out of here”. But now things have just flourished and have manifested, I’m putting this out in the world that I want to have a WrestleMania moment with my son before I end up hanging up the mask.’
Both Rey and Dominik will be a part of the 2022 men’s Royal Rumble match. For the full list of confirmed participants, click here.
