Rey Mysterio & Rhea Ripley Pulled From Last Night’s WWE Raw, More Plans Changed WWE

There were several changes to plans for last night’s April 11 WWE Raw, including Rey Mysterio and Rhea Ripley not appearing.

Firstly, WWE had announced last week that Veer Mahaan would be facing Rey Mysterio last night. However, Mahaan instead faced Rey’s son Dominik with Rey nowhere to be seen.

There was no reason given for Rey’s absence. Dominik was stretchered out after a post-match beatdown from Mahaan, so it may be a little while until we see him again.

Another match that was announced last week for last night was Sasha Banks and Naomi defending the Women’s Tag Team Championship against Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley.

However, Ripley did not make an appearance on the show last night, with the commentators saying she was “in protocol”, although there was no further explanation as to what that actually meant.

Instead, Liv Morgan faced Naomi in a singles match, which was won by Naomi, despite Morgan having beaten Banks on SmackDown this past Friday.

There was yet another change in plans, this time concerning the match that took place between Damian Priest and AJ Styles.

This match actually was announced last week, but by the time the rundown for Raw was completed just before the show, it had been changed to Priest vs Finn Balor (per Fightful Select).

So WWE originally announced Priest vs Styles, changed to Priest vs Balor, then changed back to Priest vs Styles at the last minute.

Balor did appear very briefly on the show in a backstage segment where he looking on at Dominik Mysterio being put in an ambulance and driven away.

It was announced during last night’s show that, next week, Balor will defend his United States Championship against Theory (yes, they dropped his first name, he’s just Theory now).

It’s likely that more news will come out regarding the above changes, particularly the reasons for Rey Mysterio and Rhea Ripley missing the show, so we will of course keep you updated when that happens.
