Rey Mysterio is a wrestling icon that can never be duplicated. His impact on the industry cannot be understated but Mysterio recently did an interview about who he thinks is his successor.
This is truly amazing to watch. But let me be the first to say that there will NEVER be another Rey Mysterio. 🐐
All I can do is try to continue to inspire the next generation of guys and girls that want to be wrestlers like he did for me and countless others.#Booyaka 🙏🏽 https://t.co/8cB1aln55c

In an interview with WWE on BT Sport, Mysterio talked specifically about how Ricochet impressed him. Here is the quote:
“You gotta make sure you see your competition, who’s up and coming, and he was one of the guys that really stood out to me. He’s been doing incredible, man. I personally feel he is the next Rey Mysterio”
High praise to say the least. The two have a long history together, competing in WCPW and Lucha Underground.
Ricochet was quick to humbly respond to the praise. He wrote the following on Twitter:
“This is truly amazing to watch. But let me be the first to say that there will NEVER be another Rey Mysterio. All I can do is try to continue to inspire the next generation of guys and girls that want to be wrestlers like he did for me and countless others. #Booyaka”
Ricochet is currently scheduled to face Bobby Lashley and Seth Rollins in a Triple Threat match on Raw. If he wins he will face Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship at Super Showdown.
