An update on Rey Mysterio’s WWE WrestleMania 41 status following his injury suffered on last night’s SmackDown show.
Rey Mysterio was announced for a match against newcomer El Grande Americano for WrestleMania 41 night one tonight, but the status of that match is now up in the air.
On last night’s SmackDown, Rey teamed with Rey Fenix and Dragon Lee against American Made, but Rey seemingly suffered an injury during the match.
Rey spent most of the time being checked on by doctors during the match, with him being carried to the back after the match was over.
With Rey seemingly suffering an injury, many had speculated about whether or not his match would still be taking place.
While WWE has yet to make an official announcement regarding Rey’s status, the official WWE Twitter account was still advertising Rey’s match with Grande Americano earlier today.
Later during the WrestleMania Countdown, Michael Cole said the match “could be in flux” and it’ll be a late decision as to whether Musterio works the match.
We will provide any updates on Rey’s status as they become available.
