More news continues to emerge regarding Rhea Ripley as she’s reportedly been removed from an upcoming WWE show.
On this past Tuesday’s episode of NXT, WWE ran an angle with Ripley being attacked in the parking lot by Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.
The next day, WWE announced that Ripley had suffered fractured right orbital socket via the attack and that she’d be out of action for an undisclosed amount of time.
After that, it emerged that the attack was a “cover story” for the fact that Ripley had legitimately suffered an injury last week, so this was a way to explain her being off TV.
The legitimate injury is believed to be a fractured orbital bone suffered via a headbutt, so the injury WWE announced is essentially the same injury she actually sustained.
PWInsider now reports that Rhea Ripley has been pulled from the episode of WWE Raw that’s being taped in Saudi Arabia on Sunday. Ripley was advertised on the official poster for that show.
The angle on NXT was reportedly a “late addition” to the show, and the likely reason for doing it at NXT in Orlando was so she wouldn’t have to fly somewhere to do it.
There’s still no timeline for a potential return date, but we’ll continue to keep you posted.
