Royal Rumble Winner Rhea Ripley Reveals WrestleMania 39 Opponent

On tonight’s WWE Raw, the Women’s Royal Rumble winner Rhea Ripley revealed who she has selected to face at WrestleMania 39.

Rhea Ripley came to the ring to make her big announcement, challenging WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion, Charlotte Flair to take on at WrestleMania.

Noting that Flair previously “put her in her place,” in their previous WrestleMania match, it could be easy to overlook their feud.

WrestleMania 36 occurred without the benefit of fans in attendance due to the COVID-19 pandemic however still hosted a variety of intriguing matches.

Including one featuring Charlotte Flair challenging NXT Champion Rhea Ripley for the NXT Women’s Championship.

After a hard fought battle, Charlotte Flair bested Ripley to capture the NXT Women’s Championship.

Now Ripley seeks vengeance as she made the announcement that she has elected to challenge Flair for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship.

After entering at number one and two, Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan respectively were the final two combatants in the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble.

With Ripley ultimately defeating the former champ with a stunning show of strength by eliminating Morgan with her legs as she dangled from the top rope to prevent her own elimination.
