Rhyno Retires From Wrestling After Being Fired On Raw

In a bizarre 10-minute storyline on last night’s Raw, General Manager Elect Baron Corbin announced to Heath Slate and Rhyno that there wasn’t room for both of them on the roster, and therefore they would have a match with the loser being fired.

Heath Slater won the match in around 60 seconds, meaning Rhyno was the man to be fired. The cameras picked up his look of shock, and then it cut to an ad break.

A pretty anti-climactic way of firing a wrestling legend you would think…but apparently it gets worse.

According to multiple news sites, including Fox Sport, Rhyno then cut a promo during the break announcing that he would be retiring from in-ring competition.

So, a 24-year veteran and ECW legend gets fired after no build and a one-minute match, and then announces his retirement when no-one can see it.

How classy is that?

They could have at least given it a couple of weeks build or just something to make it seem important. But no, they shoved it in the third hour of Raw and gave it two minutes.

Well, unlike WWE, we would like to thank Rhyno for everything he has done in the world of wrestling, and we will miss him goring his opponents across the ring.
