In a previous interview with PEOPLE, Flair teased the new comic book, noting:
“It was a mutually agreed-upon decision [to leave WWE] and I will be moving forward to pursue other exciting endeavors such as my own line of wine, my own network, as well as comic books. I had to make this decision personally for my business and my brand.”
Since his WWE departure on August 3, Flair has featured on shows for AAA and NWA. It has been speculated that Flair will appear for AEW soon, as the WWE Hall of Famer is a close friend of AEW President Tony Khan.
