Ric Flair Issues Statement After AEW Blood & Guts Absence AEW

WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has issued a statement after he was forced to miss the recent AEW Blood and Guts episode of Dynamite.

Alongside Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, Flair had been announced for an appearance at the November special episode.

Flair did appear before the show, with a subsequent report noting that he was set to do more during the broadcast, but went home after he did his promo to the fans in attendance.

The Four Horsemen member has now issued a statement via his own Twitter account, thanking Tony Khan and looking forward to being invited back to AEW in the future, posting:

“I Want To Apologize To Everyone For Having To Leave The @AEW Show Early Last Wednesday Due To My Rotator Cuff Injury.

“I Appreciate @TonyKhan Giving Me The Opportunity To Be On The Show. It Was Nice Catching Up With All The Great Talent And Ricky Steamboat.

“I Look Forward To Being Invited Again. After I Have My Shoulder Healed Up, I Will Be Back Up & Running.

“I Just Want You All To Know That I Would Never Disappoint You Intentionally.”

The tweet was accompanied by a photo of Flair alongside AEW owner Tony Khan from a previous appearance on Dynamite.

Ricky Steamboat’s appearance on the show saw him be the target of mockery from FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood).

The pair would threaten to beat up Steamboat, with Brodido (Bandido and Brody King) heading to the ring to handle the disrespect.
