WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has noted that he wanted to be Andrade El Idolo’s manager on AEW TV.
Flair has previously teased working with AEW, however the wrestling veteran has not yet made a live appearance on Dynamite or Rampage.
On his ‘To Be The Man‘ podcast, Flair noted that he would’ve loved to have worked with his son-in-law in AEW, but indicated that Tony Khan wasn’t a fan of the idea.
Flair noted:
“I knew he had a big match … I don’t really what — really haven’t kept track of what he’s doing there. I had hoped, as I told you before, I wish Tony would have let me manage him. He is an absolutely phenomenal work and tough kid. I wish I could have managed him, but I guess Tony elected not to go with me for whatever reason.”
On Friday’s (October 7) episode of Rampage, Andrade will face off against the Dark Order’s 10 in a match with massive implications. If Andrade wins, 10 will be forced to remove his mask, however if he loses, he will have to leave AEW.
