On last night’s (August 25) episode of AEW Dynamite, CM Punk cut his first ever promo on the show, where he said he came back to AEW to see if he truly is still the ‘Best In The World’.
One person who seemed to take an issue with Punk’s statement was former 16-time world champion Ric Flair, who posted a short and sweet message to Punk on his Twitter account after the promo, saying:
@CMPunk, We Need To Talk About BEST IN THE WORLD!!!
It was reported following Flair’s WWE release that he was ‘a lock’ to show up in AEW once he was legally able to do so.

Flair has recently teased returning to the ring, claiming that he will ‘never retire’, so could be teasing working with Punk, whether as an opponent or accompanying Andrade El Idolo as he did at AAA TripleMania XXIX.
