Former WWE star Ricardo Rodriguez has revealed that he has been filming a documentary focusing on his addiction recovery.
Rodriguez, best known by WWE fans as the former ring announcer for Alberto Del Rio, has now confirmed that a documentary on his recovery from alcoholism will be released this year.
Announcing ‘Wrestling with Recovery: The Jesus “Ricardo” Rodriguez Story’, Rodriguez tweeted:
Last few months I’ve been filming my #AddictionRecovery process.
From getting out of rehab to living in a recovery home, dealing with homelessness to building @3Legacies and getting life back together.
@BobbacondaPro will be releasing this documentary later this year.
Rodriguez made his pro-wrestling debut on the independent scene in 2006, before making a name for himself under a mask and using the name Chimaera.
He joined WWE in late-2010, originally wrestling on the Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW) developmental brand.
Rodriguez also made his WWE main roster debut in 2010, as Alberto Del Rio’s personal ring announcer.
Since his WWE release in 2014, Rodriguez has made appearances for numerous notable promotions, including AEW, where he made his Spanish commentary debut in October 2021.
Rodriguez last wrestled in January at the 3LW Awakening: Chapter 3 indie event.
