Rick Steiner Shares Thoughts On Bron Breakker’s WWE Intercontinental Title Win

WWE Hall of Famer Rick Steiner has shared his thoughts on Bron Breakker’s Intercontinental Championship win at SummerSlam.

After falling short at the month prior’s Money in the Bank event, second-generation star Bron Breakker successfully captured the Intercontinental Championship at WWE SummerSlam by defeating Sami Zayn.

In the crowd for the event were several WWE legends, including Breakker’s uncle Scott Steiner and father Rick.

Speaking to Sportskeeda’s Bill Apter, Rick Steiner shared his thoughts on the match and Breakker’s big win in Cleveland, saying he thought his son did “great” in the match.

Steiner said:

“I didn’t know what to expect. You know, I’ve been watching stuff and Zayn’s a pretty tough kid. But watching the match, my biggest thing is, you know, a lot of things is up and down, sideways, whatever the match goes.

“You know, he came out the victor, got the belt, he’s the champ, and that’s all that matters. So I’m happy. I mean, I can always sit back and say, well, we could have done this better and work on this and work on that, but, that’ll be for next time. But, you know, as far as I’m concerned for tonight, I thought he did great. He’s a champ, and I love it.”

Breakker will defend his Intercontinental Title for the first time since winning it at tomorrow night’s WWE Raw (August 12), where he defends against Sami Zayn in a two-out-of-three falls match.
