Ricky Saints’ first championship match since joining WWE last month is set to take place on next week’s NXT show.
Former AEW star Ricky Starks made his NXT debut last month just days after becoming a free agent after being granted his release from AEW.
Starks, now going by the name Ricky Saints, has already made enemies on the NXT roster, namely NXT North American Champion Shawn Spears.
On tonight’s show, Ricky Saints took part in a sit down interview with Vic Joseph, which was interrupted by Spears and the Culling, where Spears made reference to Saints ‘burning bridges’ with his AEW departure.
The segment was teasing a potential future North American Championship match between the two men, which is now officially set for next week’s NXT show.
Saints and Spears’ nights didn’t end there, as Saints interrupted Ethan Page’s entrance, sitting in on commentary for his match against Andre Chase later in the show.
Spears would appear after the match, laying out Saints with a title shot as Ethan Page watched on smiling.
