Former AEW star Ricky Starks has made his debut for WWE on tonight’s NXT show following his AEW release on Sunday.
It was announced on Sunday that AEW had granted Ricky Starks his release from the contract after previously rolling his contract over.
Starks’ deal was set to expire in April, and he had not appeared on AEW television since last April, where he and Big Bill lost to Top Flight on AEW Collision.
AEW‘s releases are not subject to 90-day non-compete clauses, meaning Ricky was now free to sign wherever he wanted, and it did not take him very long to find a new home.
On tonight’s WWE NXT show, Ricky Starks made his first appearance for the brand, appearing in the crowd ahead of the North American Championship main event.
Ricky said that many were wondering when the Revolution would be televised again, and he’s here now!
