AEW
Following his arrival in the company, former WWE Intercontinental Champion Ricochet has discussed Will Ospreay advocating for him.
At AEW All In London, Ricochet made his debut in All Elite Wrestling in the Casino Gauntlet Match, which was won by Christian Cage.
The former WWE United States Champion then defeated Kyle Fletcher in his AEW TV debut on the August 28 edition of AEW Dynamite. Post match, AEW International Champion Will Ospreay appeared on stage to confront Ricochet before PAC attacked the champion.
This followed Ospreay praising Ricochet and pushing for him coming to All Elite Wrestling when he was still working for WWE prior to his departure.
In a new interview with CBS Sports, Ricochet discussed how cool it was to see Will Ospreay advocate for him prior to his WWE exit. He said:
“To see him so verbally advocate for me is awesome,”
“I think for a long time Ricochet hasn’t had the opportunity to advocate for himself so it was really cool to have my homie do that for me.”
Will Ospreay is set to defend the AEW International Championship against PAC this Saturday, September 7 at All Out. For the full lineup for the show, click this link here.
