Ricochet is set to get revenge on The Beast Mortos following the attack he suffered on last week’s AEW Dynamite.
In his second singles match since his debut at AEW All In London on August 25, Ricochet defeated Sammy Guevara.
As can be seen in the highlights below this news story, Ricochet wasn’t able to celebrate for long, with The Beast Mortos making his presence felt.
Guevara wouldn’t be able to let Mortos get his way with Ricochet, however, swinging a chair at The Beast to drive him from the ring.
Tony Khan has now announced that Ricochet will go one-on-one with The Beast Mortos on the September 18 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Announcing the match on Twitter, Khan stated:
“After he was blindsided last Wednesday by Beast Mortos, Ricochet will aim for revenge tomorrow on Wednesday Night Dynamite!”
Having made his singles debut on the August 28 episode of AEW Dynamite facing Kyle Fletcher, Ricochet is currently undefeated.
A recent interview saw Ricochet address the possibility of a heel turn during his AEW run.
With AEW sharing a working relationship with NJPW, Ricochet has also previously commented on a possible return to New Japan.
