Ricochet Explains Why He Now Wrestles In Jeans

Former US Champion Ricochet has discussed his WWE career, revealing the reason why he has started wrestling in jeans.

Recently, The One and Only has traded his ring gear for a pair of black jeans. According to Ricochet, his attire change was all about mindset.

Speaking on Table Talk, Ricochet pointed out that in Japan, younger wrestlers have to earn their gear. Wanting to prove he means business, Ricochet said:

“I just stripped away all the….not flash, I don’t want to say flash. I just set a goal. In Japan, all the new kids start with black boots and black trunks. You have to work your way up to get gear. It’s a mental thing. In the ring, I’m more direct and will come at you straight. I’m more in a mental state of, I’m in the ring for business. I’m here to fight,”

During the pre-show for WrestleMania Backlash, Ricochet was defeated by US Champion Sheamus. Following that match, the high-flyer entered an interesting rivalry with Mustafa Ali on WWE Main Event.

Ali has revealed the origins of this program, noting that he pitched the feud directly to Vince McMahon.
