WWE star Ricochet has recalled the advice he gave Logan Paul ahead of their crazy spot at Royal Rumble 2023.
At the January 28 premium live event, Paul returned to the ring for the first time since suffering a significant leg injury at the November 2022 Crown Jewel show.
The influencer didn’t take it easy in the Rumble match, notably colliding with Ricochet mid-air in a spot that was trending online for days following the event.
Speaking with Chris Van Vliet, Ricochet noted that he wanted to make Paul as comfortable as possible ahead of his return to the ring.
Noting that he told Paul that he’d time the spot off of him, Ricochet said:
“Going into it, I told him, ‘Listen, I want you to be as comfortable as possible. So I don’t want you to wait on me. I don’t want you to think about me.
“I don’t want you to even worry about me at all. So whenever you’re comfortable, you just go and I’ll go and time it off of your jump, I’ll time it off of you.
“I’ll go with you to make sure that we’re good. It’s like don’t worry about if I’m gonna jump or if I’m gonna go, don’t worry about me. You just go. And then I follow you.’ I follow suit.”
Paul last wrestled on WrestleMania 39 Saturday, losing to Seth Rollins in singles action.
As of writing, Paul is currently a free agent, with his WWE contract expiring on April 1.
Rollins recently agreed that WWE would be silly not to re-sign Logan Paul.
