Yes, you read the headline right – Ricochet stole a former WWE star’s prosthetic leg during tonight’s May 8 episode of AEW Collision.
The opening match of tonight’s Collision saw Ricochet pick up the win over Angelico.
During the match, highlighted and shown at ringside as “23-year pro wrestling veteran & youth empowerment speaker” was former WWE star Zach Gowen.
After his win, Ricochet got out of the ring and got in the face of Gowen, mocking him and his sons.
When security tried to intervene, Ricochet took them out, and specifically tried to cut the hair of one of the security guards in the ring with a pair of scissors.
However, Gowen jumped the barricade and got in the ring to confront Ricochet, which did not go well for Gowen.
Ricochet kicked Gowen to the ground before removing his prosthetic leg and literally walking off with it, leaving a one-legged Gowen down in the ring.
Tony Khan then took to social media to announce a match between Ricochet and Gowen for next week’s May 14 ‘Beach Break’ edition of Dynamite.
Ricochet had been a big topic on social media earlier today following a heated exchange he had with WWE NXT star Je’Von Evans, who, in a now deleted tweet, fired shots at Ricochet for going from WWE to “wrestling in front of 2,000 people every week for a crackhead”.
