The first injury of the year 2022 took place before the first event of the year had even truly begun.
On the kickoff show for tonight’s (January 1) WWE Day 1 pay-per-view, Cesaro and Ricochet took on Sheamus and Ridge Holland in tag team action.
During the match, Cesaro and Ricochet hit a double team move on Holland, which saw Ricochet catch Holland’s nose on the way down. Holland’s nose began bleeding, before he tagged Sheamus in and was taken to the back.
Michael Cole informed us that Holland had suffered a broken nose and would not be returning, leaving Sheamus to face his two opponents alone.
Sheamus went on to win the match for his team.
