Ridge Holland In-Ring Return Added To WWE SmackDown

WWE has announced a a new segment and match for tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

On the show, Ridge Holland will return to action, set to team with Sheamus to face off against Ricochet & Cesaro. This is a rematch from the WWE Day 1 kickoff show, in which Holland suffered a broken nose. Promoting Holland’s return to the ring, WWE wrote:

“For the first time since having his nose broken at WWE Day 1, Ridge Holland joins forces with his mentor Sheamus in the hopes of getting his retribution on Ricochet and his partner Cesaro for the injury.

“Holland made his way back to SmackDown last Friday night to cheer on The Celtic Warrior as he bested Ricochet with a massive Brogue Kick, welcoming his protégé back to the Blue Brand with a hug following the pinfall victory.

“With The Swiss Cyborg now in his corner, will Ricochet & Cesaro spoil Holland’s first match back in nearly a month, or will the two UK bruisers toast to a victory?”

Also on the episode, Seth Rollins will deliver a message to Roman Reigns, ahead of their Universal Championship match at WWE Royal Rumble.

Previously advertised for the show was a singles bout between Naomi and Sonya Deville. Big E & Kofi Kingston are also set to team on tonights show to face Madcap Moss & Happy Corbin.
