One of the biggest weaknesses of Ring of Honor in recent years has been their women’s division. The Women of Honor has struggled to get off the ground due to the limited size of the roster and the lack of big stars. Now, it seems they recently tried to change that.
Fightful Select (subscription required) is reporting that ROH recently reached out to top female talent Deonna Purrazzo. The report states that ROH officials are looking to revamp the product. This has resulted in a number of changes that have already been implemented with ROH also talking to talent about coming on board.
The only talent confirmed in the report was Purrazzo. This happened a few weeks ago as the report states she signed her contract with Impact Wrestling around the same time. Her contract was finalized as far back as four weeks ago but was only announced recently. Purrazzo is currently the Impact Knockouts Champion and will be defending her title against Kylie Rae at Bound for Glory.
Purrazzo was among the talent released by WWE earlier this year. She had been with WWE since 2018 but never made it out of NXT.
