Last year was a very difficult year for Ring of Honor as the pandemic caused the promotion to go on hiatus for half the year. While the promotion was inactive for most of the year, they still had some good moments.
Their Final Battle pay per view capped off a lousy year with a good show and the Pure Tournament was a completely unique presentation and was a true joy to watch. Now, the company has revealed their 2020 awards including who was their Wrestler of the Year.
All awards were decided via fan voting with Jonathan Gresham taking many of the top honors. Here is the full list of award winners:
- Wrestler of the Year – Jonathan Gresham
- Tag Team of the year – Jonathan Gresham & Jay Lethal
- Faction of the Year – The Foundation (Jonathan Gresham, Jay Lethal, Rhett Titus & Tracy Williams)
- Match of the Year – Jonathan Gresham vs. Tracy Williams (ROH Pure Tournament Finals)
