Road Dogg Criticises AEW For Not Making Blackpool Combat Club Tag Team Champions AEW

WWE Hall of Famer Brian James (Road Dogg) has criticised AEW for not putting the AEW Tag Team Championship on Jon Moxley & Bryan Danielson.

Speaking on his Oh You Didn’t Know? podcast, the former WWE NXT producer noted that he thinks the company’s tag division is great, but argued that Jurassic Express shouldn’t be the champions.

Pitching for the Blackpool Combat Club to hold the gold, James said:

“AEWs got a great tag division. I don’t think they have their tag titles on the right people right now but that’s just my opinion. I know the fans might argue differently but I just think they’ve got some really good teams.

“If you’re going to use Moxley and Bryan Danielson as a tag team, if you don’t put the tag titles on them, I don’t know what you’re doing. I think you put it on them and then you give back to some new younger team by getting them the carrot of beating that Combat Club.”

Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus might not be the champions for much longer, as they’re set to defend their AEW Tag Team Title in a ladder match against The Hardys and The Young Bucks on next week’s edition of Dynamite.

Dax Harwood of the #1 ranked AEW team FTR has reacted to him and Cash Wheeler being overlooked for the title shot.

Jon Moxley is currently focused on singles gold, recently advancing to the AEW Interim World Championship bout at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. At NJPW Dominion, Hiroshi Tanahashi will face Hirooki Goto to determine Moxley’s opponent for the June 26 pay-per-view.
