Rob Van Dam Names Ricochet As His Dream Opponent If He Made A WWE Return

WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam is one of the best high flyers in the company’s history and has an appreciation for a current aerial artist.

Speaking with Sportskeeda Wrestling, RVD was asked who he would want to potentially face if he ever returned to WWE.

Van Dam answered:

I think I’d like to wrestle Ricochet. I think that’d be pretty good. I’m sure he was inspired by watching me and he took the gymnastics to a different level. He’s impressive to watch. In a world where, like I said, it’s hard to stand out now, by doing moves because there’s so much that’s done…people are doing springboard gators to the floor during the second match of the card.

He continued on by pointing out how Ricochet stands out among the roster:

It’s almost like you don’t remember a few minutes later because it’s done so much. But having said that, I think that Ricochet does stand out. I think that people expect a little bit more from him than other people and I think that he helped raise the bar also to where it is now by being one of these new guys that did use that influence and that motivation to pursue their own style.

Rob Van Dam vs. Ricochet is a tantalising dream match for many fans. The two men are among the most gifted athletes to ever grace the squared circle.

However, it is worth noting when asked about returning to the ring on WWE After The Bell With Corey Graves, RVD said the odds of that happening are “just as good odds going for it as going against it.”
