WWE Star Reveals Major Surgery Amid Return Rumors

WWE Star Reveals Major Surgery Amid Return Rumors WWE

Despite being recently rumored to be returning soon, one WWE star has seemingly rebuffed that by posting to social media about having undergone a major surgery.

Taking to his Instagram account, Robert Roode posted several photos including an x-ray of his neck and a thumbs up pose from a hospital bed!

Writing in the caption, he revealed that he had undergone spinal fusion surgery.

He wrote:

“Big thank you to Dr Andy Cordover and his amazing staff at @andrews_sports_medicine and St Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham Alabama

“C5/6 fusion is complete. Now the work begins.

“Recovery and Rehabilitation.

“Looking forward to the challenge 💪

“Thanks @deneane__17 😘❤️
“You’re the best.”

While Roode didn’t specifically reference a date, the language in the caption certainly seems to suggest there will be quite some time of  recovery and rehabilitation before he is back in the ring.

WWE star Robert Roode has not wrestled on WWE television since the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the WrestleMania SmackDown show on April 1.

Roode last wrestled at a WWE live event in June but was recently rumored to be returning soon after having been spotted backstage.
