AEW announced on this week’s (January 19) episode of AEW Dynamite that Roppongi Vice would reunite to face long time rivals the Young Bucks on tonight’s Rampage show.
However, the match is no longer going to be taking place, as Rocky Romero took to Twitter to reveal that he had tested positive for COVID-19.
He said:
Sorry everyone… Gonna have push back the RPG Vice reunion. COVID got me. Currently I’m feeling very mild symptoms. I’m vaxed and boosted so should kick right out of this!!
On his ‘Tony Time’ segment of Busted Open Radio, AEW president Tony Khan instead announced that Trent Beretta will now face Nick Jackson in singles action.
