Ring of Honor commentator Ian Riccaboni has made a bold claim about Chris Jericho’s contributions to the promotion.
Jericho is the current ROH World Champion, after defeating Claudio Castagnoli for the gold at Dynamite: Grand Slam on September 21.
Since then, Jericho has been defending his title on AEW TV, mostly against former ROH titleholder, in an attempt to ‘desecrate’ the legacy of the brand.
During a K & S WrestleFest virtual signing, Riccaboni argued that Jericho has done more for ROH than almost any star has in at least a decade.
Sharing his honest thoughts on Jericho’s ROH World Title reign, Riccaboni said:
“(Chris) Jericho, he’s done more for the Ring of Honor brand in the last ten years, 20 years maybe than almost anybody.
“He’s got the belt on TV every week, defending it faster, more times than anybody. He’s a great champion to be perfectly honest.”
Jericho will defend his gold against Castagnoli at the December 10 ROH Final Battle event.
If Castagnoli loses to Jericho, he will be forced to join the Jericho Appreciation Society.
