A heel turn on tonight’s edition (July 8) of AEW Rampage and then later in a backstage segment, a major ROH World Championship match was announced.
A shocking development on tonight’s AEW Rampage as there are major developments in Ring of Honor storylines as Jonathan Gresham turned heel during a tag team match, seemingly aligning with Tully Blanchard!
Gresham was tagging with Lee Moriarty to take on Gates of Agony who had Tully Blanchard with them at ringside.
Shockingly Gresham abandoned Moriarty, and shook hands with Tully Blanchard .
Later in a backstage segment, Tony Schiavone spoke to Jonathan Gresham about his betrayal.
Jonathan Gresham said that Tully Blanchard called him after he had been sitting at home since February doing nothing as the ROH World Champion.
Announced for next week on a Fyter Fest themed edition of AEW Rampage it will be Lee Moriarty versus Jonathan Gresham for Gresham’s ROH World Championship.
