Ring of Honor’s second pay-per-view under the helm of Tony Khan, Death Before Dishonor tonight (July 23) saw a ROH title on the line between two AEW stars.
ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta took on fellow AEW star, Daniel Garcia for the ROH Pure Championship to determine who would be bringing home gold to their respective warring factions.
While Yuta represented Blackpool Combat Club, with William Regal at ringside, Daniel Garcia was still repping the Jericho Appreciation Society.
Interesting note on Garcia’s attire, wearing the maroon gear as famously passed down to Bryan Danielson by William Regal.
Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia exchanged vicious blows as both vowed to win the very personal battle which saw the former friends turned foes take each other to the limit.
In a series of submission holds, including Garcia using a Regal stretch on Yuta and Tuta using a Walls of Jericho against Garcia, leading to him utilizing one of his three rope breaks.
Wheeler Yuta retained the ROH Pure Championship after a pinfall victory.
