It’s the ROH (Ring of Honor) recap! Find out what happened on the March 9, 2023 episode airing on watchROH.com for Honor Club subscribers.
In the opening match, Samoa Joe defended his ROH Television Championship against Tony Deppen. You can read all about that match and the post-match angle by clicking this link!
Dalton Castle and the Boys defeated Marcus Kross, Cody Chhun & Guillermo Rosas
In a backstage segment, Maria Kanellis Bennett, Mike Bennett and Matt Taven introduced themselves, noted they were still holding a grudge against Top Flight for making them lose their match at Supercard of Honor and vow revenge. Maria reminds that they are the “O.G.K.” but you can call them, The Kingdom.
RUSH & Dralistico defeated Angelico & Serpentico and after the match showed the ultimate disrespect by unmasking Serpentico!
Trish Adora defeated Billie Starkz in a hard hitting match after nailing her finisher, Lariat Tubman.
Christopher Daniels was in a backstage segment where he detailed searching for a tag team partner. He mentioned that in an ideal world he would team again with Frankie but he wouldn’t do that as a man of honor in Ring of Honor. Daniels then revealed that he would be teaming with Matt Sydal.
Slim J & Ari Daivari defeated Jake Crist & Man Scout and weren’t done as they continued to deliver a beating after the bell. Metalik and then subsequently Blake Christian ran out to chase off the Trustbusters.
Wheeler Yuta defeated Timothy Thatcher to retain his ROH Pure Championship. You can read more about that match by clicking this link.
Aussie Open defeated Tracy Williams and Rhett Titus.
Eddie Kingston defeated Ben Dejo and then got on the microphone. Calling out Claudio Castagnoli, he demanded the champ come out, now! Once Claudio came out, Kingston demanded a title shot. However in lieu of accepting, Claudio responded: “Edward, a man without honor will never be Ring of Honor champion,” and walked away.
In a backstage segment, Lexy Nair hilariously interacted with both Claudio (who asked her, “Did I stutter?”) and then an exasperated Eddie Kingston who continued to chase the champ.
Athena defeated Willow Nightingale to retain her ROH Women’s Championship in a brutal affair that solidified Athena as a force to be reckoned with.
