First Names For ROH Women’s World Television Champion Tournament Announced

The inaugural Ring of Honor Women’s Television Champion will be crowned in a tournament with the first five names now announced.

The new championship was announced on last week’s ROH on HonorClub by Tony Khan, heralding “a new chapter” for the company.

The first five competitors in the tournament were announced on ROH as Billie Starkz, Rachel Ellering, Kiera Hogan, Lady Frost, and Leyla Hirsch.

The official ROH Twitter account shared comments from Starkz, Hirsch and Ellering that can be seen below.

Starkz recently challenged for the ROH Women’s Championship at Final Battle, losing to current champion Athena.

The brackets for the tournament haven’t been revealed yet, though we are still waiting on the final competitors in the tournament to also be revealed.

Tony Khan has recently discussed the reception that both AEW and ROH shows have received on the Cagematch website as an example of their performance.
