ROH World Title Main Event & Stipulation Set For Final Battle 2022

The ROH World Title main event and stipulation have been announced for Final Battle 2022 on December 10.

At AEW Full Gear 2022, Chris Jericho defeated Claudio Castagnoli, Bryan Danielson and Sammy Guevara in a four-way match to retain the Ring of Honor World Championship.

Jericho then went on to beat Tomohiro Ishii to retain the gold on the November 23 edition of AEW Dynamite.

On the November 25 Black Friday edition of AEW Rampage, Claudio Castagnoli challenged Jericho to a rematch for the ROH World Title, which the champ turned down.

However, “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard suggested that Castagnoli used to be a fantastic sports entertainer and would be a great addition to the Jericho Appreciation Society.

This led to Chris Jericho challenging Claudio to one more match for the title and if Castagnoli loses, he must join the J.A.S., which Claudio accepted.

The Final Battle 2022 main event will be a rematch from AEW Dynamite Grand Slam on September 28 when Jericho defeated Castagnoli to become the champion.
