WWE star Roman Reigns has explained the organic nature of the fans’ reception to his character helping to usher in a new ‘babyface’ era for him.
Breaking character in his discussion about the Bloodline storyline in a recent appearance on the SI Media podcast, Reigns explained the recent progression of his character to a babyface.
Reigns said:
“I was very blessed that our storyline was continued and we had such strong characters that we’re keeping everything relevant so there was a build up for me (to return).
“And lo and behold, I became a babyface without doing anything, not even being on screen.
“I guess that’s a testament to the hard work, the collaboration and the storytelling and all the equity we put into this thing.”
Since returning, Roman Reigns has reunited with Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso and Sami Zayn to reform their original Bloodline squad to take on Solo Sikoa and the New Bloodline.
With the return of Paul Heyman and the addition of CM Punk, Roman’s team now has five members to compete against Sikoa’s team of himself, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa and Big Bronson Reed in WarGames at Survivor Series.
