Roman Reigns Hopes SummerSlam Is Last Match With Brock Lesnar

Roman Reigns Hopes SummerSlam Is Last Match With Brock Lesnar WWE

Add Roman Reigns to the list of people who don’t want to see he and Brock Lesnar tangle again after this Saturday’s SummerSlam.

Roman Reigns popped by the Today Show ahead of his major match at SummerSlam, putting the Undisputed WWE Championship on the line against Brock Lesnar.

After much to do of the repetitive nature of this match (their match at WrestleMania 38 within the last few months was also billed as ‘the biggest match of all time’) it seems Roman Reigns also hopes to not continue to run this particular feud back.

When asked about whether or not this will be the last time the duo face off, Reigns said:

“I hope so. It hurts. Its brutal. He’s a good old country boy and such a great, legitimate background. He started out as an amateur wrestler all the way through the collegiate ranks into the UFC and everybody knows Heavyweight Champion. He’s dominated WWE for a long time. The only problem he has is Roman Reigns showed up and took over.”

Roman Reigns appeared on WWE Raw last night (July 25) where he didn’t shy away from making mention of the Vince McMahon situation.

On Friday, there was much ado regarding whether or not Brock Lesnar would appear after word broke that after the news spread that Vince McMahon was retiring, Lesnar left the arena.

While Brock eventually appeared on SmackDown, the creative control in WWE has certainly changed in a matter of days.
