Roman Reigns On Track To Break Insane WrestleMania Record WWE

WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns is on track to break an insane WrestleMania record.

Only three things are certain in life; death, taxes, and Roman Reigns headlining WrestleMania.

What was once a major criticism about the biggest WWE show of the year, Reigns’ high spot on WrestleMania cards isn’t as protested as it once was, with many fans now acknowledging the Tribal Chief’s experience and character work.

Reigns is slated to main event WrestleMania 39 against Cody Rhodes, who won the 2023 Royal Rumble match to earn a shot at the WWE Undisputed Universal Title.

As pointed out by Wrestle Features, WrestleMania 39 will mark the seventh WrestleMania with Reigns in the main event bout.

This means that, after April’s show, Reigns would have to main event one more WrestleMania (eight in total) to tie Hulk Hogan’s record for the most WrestleMania main events ever.

Reigns first closed the show at WrestleMania 31 in 2015, battling Brock Lesnar for the WWE Title, before Seth Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank contract to make the bout a three-way bout.

At WrestleMania 32, Reigns defeated Triple H to win the WWE Championship. WrestleMania 33 saw the Big Dog become the second ever man to defeat the Undertaker at the show of shows.

Reigns faced Brock Lesnar again in the main event of WrestleMania 34. The dominant star returned to the WrestleMania main event scene at WrestleMania 37, where he defended his Universal Title against Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan) and Edge.

In his most recent main event, Reigns defeated Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 38 in 2022 to unify the Universal and WWE championships.

Hogan closed the show at WrestleManias 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9.

Ahead of WrestleMania 39, Reigns will defend his WWE Undisputed Universal Championship against Sami Zayn at the February 18 Elimination Chamber event.
