A match for Roman Reigns has been announced for the WWE Bad Blood premium live event on Saturday, October 5.
Reigns returned to SmackDown tonight, and he and Cody Rhodes ended up helping each other fight off the new Bloodline after Rhodes defeated Sikoa in a steel cage match.
They both took out Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa, with Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu retreating away from the ring.
Shortly after, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis announced backstage that Sikoa and Fatu and requested a tag team match against Reigns and Rhodes for Bad Blood.
Sikoa and Fatu signed the contract, so Aldis was looking for Reigns and Rhodes to do the same.
However, Rhodes approached Aldis and told him he has “no intention” of signing the contract.
Rhodes said that he’s done with the Bloodline and it’s Roman Reigns’ problem to handle himself now.
After that, Aldis said he was going to go and speak to Reigns, who appeared back in the ring at the end of the show.
Reigns, with a similar sentiment to Rhodes, said that he doesn’t need a partner and her certainly doesn’t need Cody Rhodes’ help.
However, they were again attacked from behind by Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa as Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu watched on at ringside.
Again, Reigns and Rhodes got the better of Tonga and Loa, before Reigns’ eyes locked onto the contract that was in the ring.
Reigns picked up the contract and signed it, before Rhodes very slowly extended his hand so he could do the same.
Reigns placed the contract in Rhodes’ hand, and Rhodes did indeed sign it.
So, it’s official – Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes will team together at WWE Bad Blood to take on Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu.
