John Cena was on WWE SmackDown tonight to challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at SummerSlam. All the rumors have had Cena and Reigns headlining the big event.
However, in the main event segment of tonight’s show, Roman turned down John Cena’s challenge. This brought out Finn Balor. Balor told Reigns if he didn’t want Cena, then maybe he’d face him.
Balor challenged Roman. Reigns quickly accepted.

WWE left some major holes in this segment though and I believe it was intentional. I think the plan will still be Cena and Reigns because Balor nor Reigns mentioned SummerSlam in their exchange.
So, it might be Balor gets a match on SmackDown and we still get Reigns/Cena at SummerSlam. This was one of the best Roman Reigns promos since he turned heel.
Stay tuned to WrestleTalk for more on when this match might actually take place.
