During the typically tame WWE WrestleMania 39 press conference, there was a surprising moment from Roman Reigns who referenced CM Punk.
After wrestling journalist Nick Hausman (who you may recall from being the unfortunate soul who asked the question that kicked off the CM Punk tirade after AEW’s All Out at the media scrum) asked a question of Roman Reigns.
While he asked about the earlier in the day rumors of WWE being close to finalizing a sale, instead of getting an answer he got a ribbing from Paul Heyman about his press conference past.
While CM Punk’s name was not uttered, the reference was certainly very clear with even Roman Reigns recalling the “improv” detail from the rant.
