Roman Reigns Planning For Future Beyond WWE

Universal Champion Roman Reigns has discussed his future aspirations, and what he believes is the “next obvious step” in his career.

From headlining WrestleMania to winning a world title, Roman Reigns has done everything there is to do in WWE numerous times over. According to Reigns, it is almost a certainty that he’ll end up in Hollywood one day.

Speaking on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show, Reigns discussed the potential dream match between himself and The Rock. Explaining that the pandemic prevented the match from happening at WrestleMania 37, Reigns noted that he would one day love to battle his cousin.

Pointing out the parallels between himself and the Brahma Bull, Reigns revealed that if everything goes according to plan, the next step in his career is Hollywood.

Here is the full quote:

“No disrespect to Tampa stadium and obviously the conditions we’re in, it’s going to be less people, I’m grateful we even have 1,000 people out there. We can’t lie about it. Dallas is humongous. Jerry World is giant. I’ve already done it, over 100,000 people. The following year, I’m in his backyard. Imagine me with another couple of years with this dominance.

“Hollywood, which God willing is the obvious next step if available and everything happens correctly. People in my position typically end up there. To be able to tell that story with him, it’d be cool. I want to create the largest, monumental moments in sports entertainment. If that involves him, then absolutely. It all comes back to the audience. What do our fans want to see? Those are the moments I want to create.”

Roman Reigns played a minor role in Hobbs & Shaw (2019), even hitting his signature spear on an enemy during the film’s climax.

At WrestleMania 37, Reigns defends his Universal Championship against Daniel Bryan and Edge. The Rated R Superstar has recently revealed some of WWE’s concerns surrounding the WrestleMania crowd’s reaction to The Tribal Chief.
